Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
A purchase agreement was signed by a buyer and witnessed by the person selling the property. On the top of the agreement it states that it is a legal contract, but there wasn't a lawyer or any kind of stamping made on it, it was done at a dining room table. Is this legal and binding?

No lawyer has to be there for have a valid offer to purchase. I have not seen it, but you do not have to use the forms approved by the NC Realtors & NC bar and any form that is signed by the seller is probably allowed.
