i rent a moblie home in shelby nc the internet ssays that if u have a major repair they would fix it in 72 hrs thhen u dont pay rent til fixed my roof is leaking for over a year year now when iasked for one month for free he said no what can i do

Wherever you read that information...I would advise you not go back as the information is wrong. You can NEVER withhold rent in NC. If the landlord is refusing to make repairs (there is no 72 hour limit in NC...there are emergencies and non emergencies but no specific deadline is codified), then you should call code enforcement in your area. Then your next step is to speak to a lawyer about suing.
