Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

im currently renting an apartment in high point, nc. today the owner came out and put a sign in the yard saying that the duplex was up for auction. I was told that he has the right to show the inside of the property off. Im very uncomfortable with the thought of having strangers come inside. Is he allowed to do that?

He is allowed to show it off if the lease allows him to.
