Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
I was renting an apartment in NC and I decided to sublease it, I called my landlord and ask if he was alright with it and he said yes. Now he is threating me with a lawsuit because he said I was supposed to sing the sublease with his leasing agent and not on my own. He never mentioned the fact that I had to fo it through his leasing agent. Can he in fact sue me?(I had the subleaser sign a contract and I collected a security deposit from them)

Isn't he suing you because some rent has not been paid?
