Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

My son allowed his friend to removed the stock transmission and clutch out of my car and replace it with another one and his friend sold the old one. All of this was done without my permission and without knowledge of this occuring until after it was already sold. Do I have any legal rights to obtain my property back?

If the new one is better than the one you had, it is unlikely you could collect. If this is not the case, you could sue for the damages of the value of the old parts. It is unlikely that you would get the old parts back.
