Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

Specific Disclosure Law

A listing which we received for a property we are interested in purchasing, states:

''seller is exempt from sellers disclosure under

NCGS47E-2. Property to be sold in ''as is''

condition.''

What does this law state and what are the implications for a buyer?

Re: Specific Disclosure Law

NCGS47E-2,apparently, refers to a North Carolina

law which requires sellers of real property in that state to disclose material defects or deficiencies to prospective purchasers of such property.

The implications of a refusal to make such disclosure are quite plain: Buyers beware!
