Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
2 tickets in one month one no insurance, broken taillight the other speeding
I recieved a ticket for a broken taillight, no insurance, plate and
inspection sticker expired. Then while taking my daughter to the
emergency room because of an alergic reation I got a speeding ticket
doing 74 in a 55. My court date for the speeding is before my other
court date for no insurance and all that. What should I do in order to get
the speeding ticket reduced and for the other ticket i got insurance, a
new plate registration and an inspection the next day. Also my taillight
fixed the same day. Is there anything I can do to get some of those
charges off of that ticket. Also will it hurt me because I've been in court
for speeding (for a good cause) on March 15,then again on the no
insurance and all that on April 3. Should I ask to go to traffic school on
either ticket.

Re: 2 tickets in one month one no insurance, broken taillight the other speeding
My experience has been that they will generally dismiss tickets such as registration or inspection upon proof that these have been taken care of. You probably can get the speeding ticket reduced as well (to a 64 in a 55) or ask for a prayer for judgment. Some counties may even give you an improper equipment which would be the best result.
It is very important to know your driving record and that of anyone else on your insurance policy in order to best reduce the insurance consequences of your speeding ticket.
