Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

On August 18th 2016 I got pulled for expired registration and speeding (38 in a 25)(unaware of both) court date was set for September 12th at 2:00pm.I had gotten registration fixed so on August 22 took it to da office they then changed the speeding to a seat belt.unable to pay that day was told to still be in court on September 12 at 2:00 pm which was disposition court....I went to court that day and the da (different one than before) had looked at it told me there was no need for a continuance because everything was talking care of. He handed me the ticket back and told me I was free to go and have a nice day.I was assuming he was dismissing it.On December 26th I get pulled and ticketed for driving while licence revoked had my licence card taking from me.state trooper said it shows I never appeared in court .I went to talk to da in person on January 3rd (same da that changed my ticket ) said I have to pay 180 for the ticket and another 200 fee for not paying on time (within 20 days of my court date) he would not listen to me at all ...no-one told me how much or anything had to be paid till after.I feel I never had a "fair trial" that I was legally entitled to.The new court date for the driving whole licence revoked isn't until February 27th I can't wait that long to be able to drive I have to work job is about 15-20 minutes from my home I work at night

Really? No one told you how much? How did you know you were unable to pay on August 22 if you weren't told how much it would be? You weren't denied anything - two ADA's went out of their way to give you a sweet deal and you managed to screwed it up by taking what could have been a mere $79 seat belt ticket and turned it into about a grand - $380 (which btw is likely no longer the sweet seat belt deal - so you'd be a fool to just pay it off) and a new $500 plus DWLR on top of that. This is basically what happens when you attempt to do your own legal work having no idea what you are doing. Hire a traffic attorney now before you muck this up any more than you already have. Word of warning - DO NOT blow off the suspension and drive anyway. If you get caught, you will likely find yourself falling into a spiraling pit of huge fines, court cost, additional year long suspensions all culminating into a permanent revocation and possible jail time.
