careless and reckless driving ticket

i was given a ticket on 29 Aug 2008 for careless and reckless driving. 98 in a 55. my court date is on 23 Sept 2008 and i was talking to a friend of mine and he mentioned prayer for judgment. my question is; is there such a thing? and how does it work

For that type of ticket you probably want to consult an attorney. To answer your question, you ask the Judge for a Prayer for Judgment. I don't know what county you are in, but it is unlikely a Judge will grant it for that type of speed. This is a really serious offense.
