Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
Dismissing a case
I received a speeding ticket almost 5 years ago. When I went to court, the DA asked before the judge came in did anyone have a traffic ticket. There were many people who went up. When it was my turn, he asked was I speeding. I said, No. He said that the case was dismissed, just pay the cost of court. I recently found out that I was charged with going 40 in a 35 which resulted in 2 points on my license. This happen in North Carolina. Is there anything that I can do?

Re: Dismissing a case
You must have misunderstood. When a case gets dismissed, you would not pay court costs. Either way, if all these events happened five years ago, it shouldn't really effect you.
