Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
I am trying to get a drivers license from my state, NC. I lived here until 2003. After moving to SC, I was stopped for an expired tag, and I showed them my new SC license. However, I did not yet have my new license tag, so I had the SC DMV send a letter to the NC DMV explaining the situation. I never heard anything about it until now.
Now, NC says I must pay the fine. Please help!

You may want to re post the question and add more facts. Based on the story you told, you were stopped with expired tags, the fine must be paid if that is the case.
