Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
I am a NC resident and received a speeding ticket for 9 MPH over the limit. I am concerned about the points and my insurance. Should I pay the ticket or should I see an attorney in VA?
I have a clean driving record.

Depending on the actual charge and your definition of a clean driving record, generally 9mph over will not cause an insurance increase but may put points on your license. Unless you need a 'clean' driving record for employment or some other reason, generally the DMV points are of no consequence. However, before you consider paying off the ticket, have a consultation with an experience traffic attorney (this is often free) to determine the effect of paying it off versus hiring a VA lawyer.
