Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
overdue registration
My family has gone through some tremendous medical issues including my wife being confined to a wheelchair and then within the same month being admitted to the hospital for 3.5 weeks. In that 2 months my registration had expired. I immediately updated it when I was made aware of it. This all happened within a 2 month period. What is the best way to avoid financial repercussions and request clemency on the charge? Can I simply ask for a dismissal based on familial difficulties?
