Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
a parking lot- the light poles with concrete base are placed at the rear right of parking space, so that when you back out, in your blind spot, and car has damage on front right, door and wheel area. Before I report to my insurance, wondering if i should talk to an attorney. I know this must have happened to many others. I don't see any other parking lots like this, it is very old outdated parking lot.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a losing case for you. The hazard which caused the damage to your vehicle was known to you prior to the incident so this would appear to be a case in which the owner of property would assert contributory negligence against any potential negligence claims you have. The law says one has a responsibility to see and avoid hazards that can be seen. You may have to just bite the proverbial bullet on this one and either pay for repair costs out of your pocket or file an insurance claim. Hiring an attorney may result in more money from you and a less-than-optimal chance of recovery.
