Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

PJC for 70 in a 55

I was recently ticketed for doing 70mph in a 55mph zone in Wake County. My question is that would I be able to use a PJC even though I was 15mph over and if so could it be completely dropped or will it be up to the judge? I also should mention that I have had two previous tickets. One for failure to reduce speed which was dropped when I showed proof of insurance. The other for 51 in a 35 which was dropped for taking a driving class. Would any of this affect the judge's decision of whether or not to allow me a PJC? I'd also like to know what do I need to do to request a PJC?

Honestly, from your question, I really can't answer you b/c your definition of dropped may be different than mine (A PJC is not the same thing as having a ticket "dropped") To be sure, you need to pull your driving record from DMV and see what exactly is on there in the past three years. If there are other people on your insurance policy, then you also need to know if they got any PJC's in the last three years.
