Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
Ask for Prayer For Judgement for speeding in school zone
I received a citation for going 14 mph over in a speed zone in Cary. The police officer said that I have a clean driving record and I could probably get the charges reduced. Should I ask for a PFJ or something else?

Re: Ask for Prayer For Judgement for speeding in school zone
If you have a clean record, I would typically ask for a 9 over but your subject line says you got it in a school zone. If the charge says school zone, you will need to get a prayer for judgment to avoid insurance consequences and many judges will not grant it for speeding in a school zone.
