Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina
I got pulled over in Wilson, North Carolina for "85 in a 70". I know that I had set my cruise control at 80, so I know for a fact that I was not doing 85. I know that 80 is still 10 over but my ticket says that it is a G.S.20-141 (J1). I was just looking at the ticket and there is no fine but it says I have a mandatory court date.
Additionally, I have an NJ state license and I don't have any previous speed tickets or any points on my license so is there anyway to reduce this ticket? What should I do?

If you live out of state, hire an attorney. If you are able to go to the court, you will need either an improper equipment, reduction to 9 over or prayer for judgment. Bring your NJ driving record with you.
