Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

SC Traffic Ticket prayer for judgement live in NC?

I received a traffic ticket in south

Carolina but I live in north Carolina.

A few web sites I visited state

that south Carolina has or provides

''prayer for

judgement'' but a few other web

sites state that SC does not have

this? If SC does have it, what do I

need to do? If SC does not provide

prayer for judgement what should I

do to avoid getting the points on

my license and my insurance from

sky rocketing?

Some other information you might

need in helping asses my situation:

I was ticketed going 54 in a 45,

this is my first offense and the

ticket is for $81.50.

thanks in advance!

Re: SC Traffic Ticket prayer for judgement live in NC?

You need to post this in a SC forum. NC attorneys can't answer this question. However, if you have a clean record and you got a 54 in a 45, I would just pay the ticket. It won't have insurance consequences in NC b/c you are allowed one ticket in a three year period that is 10 mph or less.

This way you will also save your PJC.
