Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

speeding ticket

I was pulled over in N. Carolina for speeding. 79 in a 60. Can I ask for the PJC? Even though I am not a NC resident? Also, what kind of fines am I looking at?

Re: speeding ticket

Yes you can ask for a PJC. You need to figure out what SC does with a NC PJC.

If you got a PJC, there would be no fine. You will always pay $110 in court costs.

However, depending on what county you are in, you may be able to get a better deal than a PJC. I would consult with an attorney in the county where you got the ticket.
