Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

traffic ticket

I was ticketed for running a red light at an intersection where there is no traffic light. What should I do?

Re: traffic ticket

A red light violation is a 3 DMV 1 Insurance point violation, so you wouldn't want to pay it.

It is always hard to give too specific advice because the police will generally say something different.

If you were really wronged and they won't dismiss it, ask for a trial - but have pictures, wear a coat and tie...

Best of luck,

Re: traffic ticket

Well you could always plead not guilty and set a trial if you are sure you are reading the ticket correctly. Take videos of the intersection.

This is just a general comment and is not intended to address your specific situation. I advise you to consult with an attorney in the county where you received the ticket.
