Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

I am divorced since 2005. I have a home in NC that I hold a mortgage on. The mortgage is held in my name only. The deed to the house shows both my name and my ex-wifes name. I have since remarried and I need to have her name removed from the deed. Is the Quit Claim Deed form the way to go?

You can't remove her without her consent. If she is amenable, she will need to have a deed prepared.
