Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

Dying without a will.

My mother died without a will - there are 2 living adult children & 1 deceased son who was married. Her property will need to be sold to settle the estate. Does the state of NC consider the estate as totally mothers or divided between her and the children?

Re: Dying without a will.

One of the children should consult an estate administration attorney to see what the best way to administer the estate will be.
