I have a friend who received a large amount of money from her father when he passed away. She is getting married in a few weeks. Will her new husband have a right to her inheritance she received??

No. As long as your friends keeps this money separate, it is hers to do with as she pleases. If she commingles the mney by putting it into a joint bank account, then husband may be able to claim it. Thius assume that your friend lives in NC.
