Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina
My grandfather passed away 6 months ago. He had a will and he made sure all heirs knew his intentions, under no uncertain terms. My Aunt , his youngest daughter, is Executor. Just recently we discovered money owed to the estate was being divided between the executor and two siblings. The debtor was asked to make 3 separtate checks (for the total amount owed each month on the debt) to each of them...i.e...$600 is divided three ways. Is this legal? They are not beneficiaries of ANY money. The grandchildren and great grandchildren are. What can we do?

Sounds like fraud may be going on. You need to go to the Clerk of Court where the Will is probated and talk to the estates clerk about it. Or see a lawyer ASAP who can handle probate issues.
