Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina
Marriage
My husband and I were married in 1995. He had built a house in 1994, which I had nothing to do with. We have no children. If he should die, will I inherit the house? If I should die can my child inherit part of his house? The mortgage is in both of our names now, but the deed is in his name.

Re: Marriage
The simple answer is - if you are not on the deed and your husband does not leave a will leaving you the property, you will not inherit all of it. His child or childrenw ould certainly have an interest in the property.
