Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

North Carolina; My husband is one of 5 heirs to real estate(home) and commercial property from his mom's estate. Properties have not yet sold. He wishes to transfer his ownership to me, his wife, for his part to be soley in my name before the sale. Is that possible?

That is possible. He would just have to do a Quitclaim deed to tranfer his interest in the property to you. You can have that deed prepared by a real estate lawyer.

I would agree although I question why your husband wants to do this if the properties are to be sold anyway.

Does he have judgments against him? Is he going to file bankruptcy? If so, this would be a fraudulent conveyance.
