Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

Power of Attorney

When signing a legal document, what is the legal/appropriate way to sign for another person for whom I have Power of Attorney? (Do I sign thier name and initial it, or sign my name "for 'the other person'"?

Re: Power of Attorney

When using a power of attorney, you sign the principal's name then your name

showing your authority to sign for the principal. The two common ways that I have

seen and used are John Smith by Jane Smith, Attorney in Fact or John Smith by Jane

Smith under a Power of Attorney.
