Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

My mother now in a long tearm care home, made out a will but no longer has any thing, no land house no money , and there is not a copy of the will in the cleark of courts safe. I think my younger brother has a copy , is this will any good now?can it be used for any thing?

Usually you would need to probate the original. You would need to speak with an attorney if you are trying to present a copy.

Either way, if your mother really has no assets, it will not matter too much. If she doesn't have a will, whatever property she has will go to her husband (if any) and her children.
