Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina
Should my employer still give me my annual raise even though I'm on reduced work hours while under a doctors carebecause of an on the job injury?

Of course they SHOULD, but are they legally required? This is really more of an employment law question, but I'm guessing they do NOT owe the raise unless you had some special employment contract or other similar relationship. Raises are usually discretionary. Perhaps a call to the NC Department of Labor -either Wage & Hour Division or Workplace Discrimination Division - will give you more info. Certainly would seem odd if everyone else got a raise except the person with the work-related injury. You can link to this department from our links page at ncworkcomp.com.
