Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina

i was hired in NC, the company i work for is out of TN, there ins is from Maine and i had an accident in VA and are unable to work do to injuries. who can help me?

I know that if you were hired in NC, our statute allows for you to file a claim here (N.C. Gen. Stat. 97-36). I would investigate what state affords you the most rights (NC, VA and TN). I know that NC affords more rights to injured workers over VA Workers' Comp but I am not sure about TN. Most important is that you file an injury/accident report with your employer in writing and obtain a copy for yourself. Make sure you get medical attention and that the Dr. documents that you have a work related injury. Good Luck!!!
