Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina

If you get hurt on job, and employer is saying you was playing around, and you wasnt and got hurt. Do they have to pay. Workers comp is fighting cause employer said this. and i have a lawyer and he waits to last mintue and called today, and said i anit coming tomorrow for the meataion hearing you dont need me there. And tells my husband he probley anit going to get nothing. and he has been our lawyer for months and then at last mintue dont want the job.

You need to meet with your attorney, air your concerns and try to repair the relationship. My understanding is horseplay is not a defense in workers' compensation claims. Good luck!
