Your situation comes under the Workers' Compensation laws. You cannot sue your employer, but you can and should pursue a workers' compensation claim. I am a Certified Specialist in NC Workers' Compensation law and will be glad to give you a free telephone consultation.

You may have a remedy for the firing under workers' comp or our REDA law, depending on the facts.
