husband injured at work,almost 1 year and 2 surgeries later,husband has been on workmans comp,now employer has terminated his health insurance,is this legal?

Maybe. Has he been on FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act)?

They should send him a letter about his COBRA rights. Make sure he gets that.
