Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina
can your job send you home from going to a pain managment dr. he gives you oxycotin 10 mg.wish was a accident from work falling from a ladder on a metal table

The best I can tell you without knowing more is maybe...Oxycontin is a narcotic pain medication and if your taking it on the job site is a hazzard they would be within their rights to send you home. For example, if you are a forklift driver or operate machinery the employer would certainly be in their rights to send you home; however, if they do not have work for you as a result of any restrictions you have or the fact that you are taking pain medication as a result of a compensable work injury, you may be entitled to receive some disability compensation for your time out of work. This is a situation where your one question leads to many others and it can be difficult to answer everything without knowing significantly more about your work, your injury and your case in general. I do hope this helps and I would adivse you to consult with an attorney and have a detailed conversation about your claim and your rights.
