Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina

Worker's Comp Pay

My husband was hurt on the job and out for a week. They made him use his vacation to get a paycheck. Shouldn't workers comp have paid him?

Re: Worker's Comp Pay

There is a 7 day waiting period before WC checks are payable (no waiting period for medical benefits).

Make sure his claim is filed with the North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC) ASAP on a Form 18. Also get and read a Bulletin from the NCIC website. It will explain a lot about how WC works in NC. You can link from our site at ncworkcomp.com.

Call an experienced attorney as needed. Good luck!
