Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina

worker's comp question

I retired over a year ago and think I have developed carpal tunnel syndrone. I worked for 29 years at a community college doing data entry most of the day. Can I file a worker's comp claim?

Re: worker's comp question

Yes. If your doctor makes the diagnosis and believes the work you performed more likely than not placed you at increased risk of developing the condition as compared with members of the general public not so employed, you would have the necessary medical evidence to start the process.

File Form 18 with the NC Industrial Commission.
