Legal Question in Banking Law in North Dakota

Can I sue the bank for libel because they reported this horrible lie, without any regard for the truth or how damaging and hurtful this would be to me. Devastating, actually! They reported to a check/credit reporting agency that my account was closed for the reason that I had transactions involving someone else's checks. I have been denied a checking account at two banks and both gave the reason for denial was due to the information obtained in this report; so I ordered the credit report they told me was the reason for denying me banking services. This is horrible and it is a LIE. The bank is US bank in Fargo, ND. I want to sue their lying a$$es off.

You would have to show they were negligent, or it was intentional. Additionally you would have to show damages (money you lost) or a history of U.S. Bank doing this to other customers. Without more information I can not further answer your question.
