Obligation of the co-signer to a student loan for college

My understanding of the new provisions involving student loans that were passed in 2005 is that in most cases there will be no bankruptcy discharge, even if you are just a cosigner. For example, Parental Loans for Students (PLUS Loans) are treated like any other student loan.

There is an exception for "undue hardship," but that's a very difficult standard to meet.
