Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Dakota

Stipulation to dismiss

I just wanted to know what this means. I got this in the mail after a judgement was brought against me. It says''The parties do hereby stipulate and agree that the above-entitled action shall be dismissed without prejudice and without further costs to either party.Dated 26th of October. So what exactly does this mean?

Re: Stipulation to dismiss

if an action was brought against you, rather than a judgment being entered against you, the wording of this stipulation merely means that the lawsuit has been dismissed by the parties at issue, however "without prejudice" means that it can later be reinstated at some point, if deemed "necessary". finally, "no further costs" simply means no more expenses to adjudicate this specific legal matter will be incurred at present.
