Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Dakota
Is this entrapment? About 3 weeks ago we asked the Turtle River State Park ranger in north dakota, if a tree(deer) stand we hung was on the state park property or on the land we have permission to hunt on. The park ranger said he didn't know for sure but would get back to us. Last night we were hunting he came out issued us a ticket to appear in court for hunting on state park area and confiscated our tree stand and our digital tree camera

This is not entrapment. However I believe you have a defendable case because your apparent intent was to not hunt on the State Park. You should consult a lawyer about defending this case, as hunting violations can affect your hunting privileges in the future. Feel free to contact me with any further questions.
