Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Dakota
North Dakota - if someone doesn't report a change of address (living in same city) but is now back where they should be, how harsh would the consequences be? Charge: possession and growing marijuana. 5 months left on 18 mo. probation period; no issues up until now.

It depends. Is the person on formal probation? Are they required to update their PO about any change of address? If so, this would constitute a violation. Technically, any violation, even a minor one, can be grounds to revoke the probation. At that point all suspended jail time could theoretically be imposed on the person. However, the consequences will probably be relatively minor if this the person's only violation.
