Can a person be charged twice
My stepdaughter was charged with theft and went to court and was fined we thought it was over but then her ex-employer also the victom started calling and telling her that unless she went back to work for him in the kitchen of his buisness she would be charged with more and this time it would be a felony now we understand that is going to happen yet they had plenty of time to discover all the evidence before her court date. Is this legal

If she has paid the fine and pled guilty, jeopardy has attached and it would violate double jeopardy for her to be convicted of the same crime twice.
