Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Dakota
What will happen to someone who admits doing something wrong AFTER someone else has been arrested for it and is now going to trial? The state has a good case against him even though he didn't do it. What happens to the person who did it if they come forward?

The person coming forward could be charged with the crime. I don't know enough information to tell you if the State would dismiss against the current defendant.
