Re: payment of alimony

You have been misinformed - Texas is NOW "an alimony state". The legislature of the State of Texas opened the door approx. 4 years ago and every two years they are inching it open a bit more!

You are ordered to pay alimony in North Dakota. Only North Dakota can modify that issue. They have continuing jurisdiction on your Final Decree of Divorce unless everyone has moved away from the state of N. Dakota. If this has happened, you need to talk to an attorney about the details of your case. It is too complicated to try to discuss all the options available to you via email.

If you have issues regarding children (and the children no longer reside in North Dakota) then the state they live in for over 6 months is the appropriate state to handle any child support or visitation issues.
