Legal Question in Family Law in North Dakota
suing a biased judge in divorce case
I am going through a divorce and every motion before the court is returning with strange, biased orders that do not coincide with the facts. I am paying all living expenses, been ordered by the court to continue living with my estranged husband while he is not responsible for anything other than ''his debts'' ($500 a month). He makes $2400/month. He has failed to pay on the vehicle the court has ordered me to drive and it will be repo'd on Friday. the court ordered me to pay his loan for him-I don't have the money and he does. The vehicle is titled to him and the loan is solely in his name. Can I sue the judge for emotional and financial hardship (my son is in therapy due to the strained living conditions)? I am not allowed to take the children out of the house and must continue to make all payments that relate to the house. I filed July 27 and won't get a trial until April 27.

Re: suing a biased judge in divorce case
Your lawyer should be answering these questions for you; and representing your interests, claims and needs before the Court.
If you believe there is a failure of representation, and your attorney is providing inadequate representation, you should retain new counsel.
If instead, you begin filing complaints against the judge, it is likely, it will be decided that, the problematic person, is YOU. And, YOU, will be the one suffering the consequences.
Find a new attorney.
