injury at a public parking lot

I slipped on ice and was injured while in the parking lot of a convenience store. My injuries included a gash to the back of my head requiring 5 stitches and several bruises and sore joints. What course of action should I take to be reimbursed for my injuries and medical bills. I entered the emergency room of our local hospital for treatment.

I suggest that you retain a local attorney who can place the store and their insurance company on notice.

If possible, you/your attorney would also want to get photographs of the conditions and also identify any people who witnessed either the accident or the conditions leading to the accident.
