Harassment

I feel that I was harassed by a customer at work. My employers response was that ''this is part of the job'' and I should accept it. What are my rights as an employee and what recourse should I take?

Need more details on nature of harassment, but no, not all behavior is to be tolerated as "part of the job".( E.g. a stewardess may be required to put up with complaints about the airline food, but NOT being assaulted.)
