Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Dakota

My friend has been spreading lies about me, and telling people that I am sexual things that I am not. She/he has almost caused me to kill myself. If I hit him/her could he/she sue me for personal injury from me to her? And if so could she have a strong enough case to win?

Yes, yes! She/he can also have you arrested for battery

and other violations. What someone said about you

have no importance next to what you are. You can sue her/him

for defamation.
