Return of money owed to me

I sent a money gram last week as my portion of the security deposit that me and another person were going to occupy a house together in Florida with my daughter and our two small dogs. I called and informed that person that I wanted my money back because I was no longer going to be moving with them in Florida. This person resides in Maryland and I reside in Ohio, I do have their current address home and work numbers. I have been waiting two days for the return of $1265.00. I called this person yesterday after at 3:30pm stated that I did not want to argue all I want is my money and they said they would call me back later with the Western Union. This did not happen. At 7pm I sent an email stating this was not a gift and the money was solely intended, as my portion of the security deposit since we are not going to live together you do not have any legal right to my money. Then I called 3x. He then yelled if you call me again I ain't sending nothing how can I get my money back?

If that person does not send you your money back, you unfortunately will have to file a lawsuit. My assumption is that you have copies of all the paperwork which would justify the 1265.00 you sent? If you don't hear from him soon, I would recommend hiring an attorney. The lawyer can send a letter indicating you are going to file suit if he doesn't return the money... and if he doesn't, the lawyer would then file the law suit. I am licensed in both Ohio and Florida if you are interested in having me do it. Just let me know.
