severance agreement and release form

i was laid off work and now am asked to sighn a release to recieve

my severance. this release would keep me from pursuing any legal matters. do i sighn

The answer to this question is far too difficult to provide over the Internet. Essentially, the answer relies upon an examination of all of the factors surrounding your employment and the separation from employment. Whenever a person has a severance package to review, they should do so with an experienced labor and employment attorney. That is the only way you can know that you have not waived some valuable right or if the severance package is a good deal for you.
